About the march
On Saturday 6th December, thousands will descend upon London to march against climate change. Organised by the Campaign Against Climate Change, and co-inciding with the Global Day of Climate Protest, the march has four central demands; NO new runway at Heathrow, NO to new coal, NO to the expansion of agrofuels and YES to a massive scale-up in renewable energy.
The March will assemble at noon at Speaker's Corner, Hyde Park and will end in a rally at Parliament Square. Speakers will include Nick Clegg (leader, Liberal Democrat Party), Caroline Lucas (leader, Green party), Michael Meacher (ex-Environment Minister) and George Monbiot (Honorary President, Campaign against Climate Change).
Leeds Coach Details
Tickets are £16 waged, £12 concession.
The coach will be departing Leeds on the 6th December in two locations:
- 07:00 at the Parkinson Steps (Parkinson Building, University of Leeds, Woodhouse Lane, LS2 9JT)
- 07:15 opposite the Hilton Hotel near the train station (1 Neville Street, LS1 4BX)
The coach will return to both locations at around 22:00.

Climate March Social + Prop Making Session
Details are still being finalised, but the Wednesday December 3rd Climate Chaos Cafe will be dedicated to the Climate March. It will be a chance for people going on the march to get to now each other, and also a fun session making props for the event. Come along on Wednesday 3rd December, 6:45pm at The Common Place, 23-25 Wharf Street, Leeds, LS2 7EQ.
