There’s all sorts that you could do – a sponsored something (run, walk, silence 24-hour famine..), organising a tea party for your friends, a gig night, cake sale at work, film-showing…and so on!

On the 31st May – 4th June 2012, a group of volunteers took part in the Dales Way Walk in aid of Tidal. Starting at Windermere in the Lake District and finishing in Ilkley in North Yorkshire, the team walked up to 16 miles a day and a total of 84 miles, across hills and along rivers, and raised a tremendous £3000 for Tidal!

In summer 2010, Tidal Director Lizzie Fellows raised £1500 in her triple half-marathon challenge. In total she ran just under 30 miles in 3 cities, all in aid of Tidal. ‘The fundraising was the easy part – the training was the hard bit! But that feeling of just being able to put on your running shoes and go for miles more than made up for it.’

With annual running costs of just £11,500, fundraisers like these make a massive difference to us. If these events have inspired you or your group to organise a fundraiser, or if you have any creative ideas to help Tidal, please get in touch.

If you’re part of a community group, congregation, or local organisation, perhaps you’d consider organising a fundraiser for or giving a donation to Tidal?

Happy but exhausted walkers at the end of the Dales Way walk which covered almost 100 miles in six days and raised over £3000 for Tidal.
