Leeds Skillshare Network Volunteer

The Leeds Skillshare Network aims to increase skillsharing between grassroots campaigners, activists and groups in Leeds.

We are building an online resource to link up groups looking for help or training with skilled and experienced campaigners and organisers in Leeds. This will consist of a database of people offering their skills and links to other online resources. It will be hosted on the soon-to-be-launched hub website for social action in Leeds called Leeds for Change.

Board Member

The Board has two main responsibilities. It ensures the performance of Tidal through setting and monitoring strategic plans, overseeing finances, managing resources and guarding our vision, mission and values. It also ensures conformance with relevant legislation, local regulation and our own policies, procedures and governing document. Board members are responsible for the sound running of the organisation, and are legally liable for its actions.

As well as this governance role, Board members are also expected to help carry out the operational work of Tidal. We have two strands of work: running campaigns on issues of ecological and economic global justice, and undertaking projects to build the ecological and economic justice movement in Leeds. Board members will be expected to lend time and expertise to these activities.
