Volunteering can be a great way to develop new skills, meet new people and be part of something that is making a real difference. Below are the current volunteering opportunities at Tidal.

Volunteer in a vibrant, friendly office with loads of other charities, get that much needed experience for finding work you’ll love and make a massive difference to the global justice movement of Leeds.
The role is to assist with Tidal’s communications through social media and regular newsletters as well as assisting the administration of the organisation through taking minutes for the Board of Director’s meetings. The main part of the role is producing our monthly e-bulletin which is a round up of all things global justice in Leeds and goes out to over 1100 people.
Our board members are a pretty special bunch of people. Some have been involved with Tidal since the late 90’s, some have got involved more recently, but all bring something unique to Tidal. The Board of Directors steers Tidal, keeping it focussed on supporting, coordinating and growing the global justice movement in Leeds. They are also involved in the day-to-day running of Tidal – speaking at events, making banners, running campaigns – everything really!
But, to get technical about it…
The Board has two main responsibilities. It ensures the performance of Tidal through setting and monitoring strategic plans, overseeing finances, managing resources and guarding our vision, mission and values. It also ensures conformance with relevant legislation, local regulation and our own policies, procedures and governing document. Board members are responsible for the sound running of the organisation, and are legally liable for its actions.
As well as this governance role, Board members are also expected to help carry out the operational work of Tidal. We have two strands of work: running campaigns on issues of ecological and economic global justice, and undertaking projects to build the ecological and economic justice movement in Leeds. Board members will be expected to lend time and expertise to these activities.
