On the eve of the Conservative party conference, Christian Aid, Cafod and Tearfund will lead an inspiring day of campaigning and worship in Manchester on the issues of climate change and global poverty. Bear witness to the impact of climate change on the world’s poorest communities, and challenge the government to keep to its pledge to be the ‘greenest government ever’.
There will be separate events in the afternoon before we all come together in Manchester Cathedral for a service, to pray and act on climate change. We will hear from speakers from around the world, and quiz a senior government minister about their plans to tackle climate change.
Joining with other Stop Climate Chaos supporters, we will process to the conference venue to call on the government not to forget the world’s poor during its conference.
We would love for Leeds to be well represented at this event so if you would like to attend but are lacking the vital funds please get in touch with the Christian Aid office (details below) as there is financial support available.
